I Think I Stepped Out Of A Dream

January Was Eventful... From What I Remember. 2 Things Outshine The Rest And They Both Happened Last Week. My Father Bought Me A Camera At The Drop Of A Hat. I Was About To Lose Mine Because Of A Favor That Ran Out, And My Dad Surprised Me With A BRAND NEW 5D Mark 2. Yes, The Camera I've Wanted For Almost A Year. I Could Cry Thinking About It... My Father Actually Believes In What I'm Doing, And It Means A Lot.

Secondly, I Went To Jamaica For Business. The Project I'm Working On Is Taking Over Jamaica's Media And Entertainment World. Really Though. There's Way To Much To Type Out Because The Whole Team Deserves Some Super Bowl Rings For The Work We Did This Week.

I Personally Feel That We Did More Work This Week Then The Normal Crew Of Creatives Could Do In A Month. 4 or 5 music videos were shot. Commerials Editorials Ads. It Got Crazy.

But Speaking About Jamaica, And How I've Seen It... I Can't Really Put Into Words, The Feeling It Gives You. It's More The A Warm Bubbly Feeling. Most People Go To Jamaica and Stay On A Resort And That's All They See. Airport, Hotel, Beach. I've Been To Places I Was Advised Not To Speak About On The Internet. We Went Through The Jungle 4 Hours By Car Twice In Two Days. Honestly So Much Happened That It's Pressuring Me. I Really Can't Type It Out... There's Not Words To Describe The Magical Feeling Of Jamaica. As For Pictures, I Have Some Of Them But Still The Mystical Nature Of Jamaica Doesn't Allow Anyone To Really Capture Jamaica. I would Shoot Some Frames Off At A Beautiful View And A Car Or Tree Or Tin Shack Would Hide It From The Camera. There's Something So Beautiful About Jamaica That You Can't Take With You. The Environment Is Aware Of Your Attempt To Capture It's Beauty And Take It Somewhere Else That, Something Tells You To Put Down Your Camera, Or look Away From The Most Majestic Views You Have Ever Seen Just For Long Enough Where You Can't Photograph It.

My mind Is Racing. I Wanna Tell You Guys Everything. Maybe In A Few Weeks When I Gather My Head, I Can Spell Out My Trip Better. But For Now Enjoy These. (That 5D Mark 2 Is So Incredible, Everyone Of The Photos Should Be Viewed Large.)

Your father and I have something in common. I believe in what you're doing and I think photography is something bigger than something you're good at. You have a lot to say and even more to see. I'm so excited for you, Evan. Stay hungry.
